Outside Plant
Outside Plant (OSP) involves the construction, installation, and maintenance of the physical infrastructure for telecommunications networks. This includes fiber optic cable installation (both aerial and underground), conduit placement, utility pole mounting, splicing, and testing to connect homes, businesses, and institutions to the network.
OSP work deploys and maintains fiber optic and copper networks in urban, suburban, and rural environments to ensure reliable communications services. It requires specialized equipment, adherence to safety regulations, and coordination with utility providers and municipalities.
